Jamie Carragher calls out Everton lack of class | OneFootball

With the player turned pundit having called out Everton for their lack of class.

This comes in the aftermath of the goalless draw at Goodison Park.

Newcastle United absolutely dominant in the match.

However, not turning that dominance in the rest of the pitch and indeed in the Everton penalty area (42 touches by NUFC players, compared to only 12 for Everton in the NUFC box), into the goals the away side deserved.

Anthony Gordon the centre of attention, as he was sent through one on one but put his second half sitter over the bar, whilst the first half saw Jordan Pickford save his weak penalty.

Jamie Carragher though, calling out the lack of class from Everton as a football club, following the game.

Everton posting a video of the failed penalty attempt BUT with added audio effects, this came after one of the scouse mackems asked their club to show Anthony Gordon’s missed penalty again but this time with the buzzer noise from the quiz show Family Fortunes.

“Wanted out because the club was a shambles on and off the pitch and who you then sold for 40m [plus £5m future add-ons].

What Everton did as a club, is the kind of thing that is fair game when it is fans doing something like this video.

However, when you are supposed to be a professional football club, especially when one of your former players who did so well for Everton AND ended up giving them £45m…

Everton’s one-time medical director Dan Donachie also called the club out for their infantile behaviour on Twitter/X:

“Classy Everton post this about a young man who spent around 10 years of his life with the club.

“No wonder.

“Disgraceful.”
