In fact, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad, fresh off adding Kylian Mbappé and Endrick to their ranks over the summer, have leapfrogged Manchester City into top spot on the list.

As per Transfermarkt, Los Blancos’ squad now boasts a total value of a whopping €1.34 billion.

This is clear of Pep Guardiola’s City in 2nd, with fellow Premier League heavyweights Arsenal rounding out the podium in 3rd.

Moving further down the list, Barcelona, buoyed by the increased values of the likes of Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsí and Fermín López, slot in at 7th.

Hansi Flick’s squad is considered, at present, to be worth €875 million.

Elsewhere on the list, Chelsea sit in 4th, Bayern Munich 5th and Manchester United 9th.
