Surprise Real Madrid star is the 6th-fastest sprinter in La Liga this season | OneFootball

A surprising member of the defensive ranks at Real Madrid has notched the 6th-highest sprint speed in La Liga across the season to date.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Éder Militão as the player in question.

Brazilian international Militão, it is revealed, managed a hugely impressive top speed of 33.7km/h in one of Real Madrid’s ten league fixtures thus far this season.

This is good enough for 6th overall in the Spanish top-flight, and 2nd in Carlo Ancelotti’s Blancos squad.

The only player to have managed a high sprint speed in Real’s colours in 2024/25 is, unsurprisingly, Kylian Mbappé. The summer arrival in Madrid’s speed of 34.1km/h is good enough for 3rd best in La Liga.

And not far behind in 10th is attacking partner in crime Vinícius Jr, whose best effort this season came in at 33.2km/h.

Food for thought for upcoming opponents Barcelona ahead of Saturday’s first Clásico of the term…
