Manager Didier Deschamps confirmed on Thursday that Kylian Mbappé will miss France’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Israel and Italy, marking his fourth straight game out of action as captain after missing October’s international window.
The 25-year-old has had a tough couple of weeks as Real Madrid suffered a 4-0 loss to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26. The tough stretch continued Tuesday night with a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
In both matches Mbappé had little impact and now reports are starting to emerge regarding to player’s unhappiness as a No. 9.
Mundo Deportivo recently reported that Mbappé isn’t a fan of Carlo Ancelotti’s style of play. He’s reportedly mentioned to those close to him that he’s accustomed to having the team play around him like he had at Paris Saint-Germain.

Journalist Romain Molina reports that Mbappé and his mother believe they are victims of a targeted campaign by the French press, which they say has been spreading negativity about the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
Molina notes that the situation has now reached a breaking point, with Mbappé even considering announcing he no longer wanted to play for France before deciding to take time to reflect. Tensions are also rising within the national team, with AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, among others, reportedly frustrated with the special treatment given to Mbappé.
While the situation is not a full-blown crisis, unspoken issues are beginning to emerge both within the national team and at Mbappé’s club, per the report. Deschamps hopes to ease the tensions by facilitating a potential move to a better situation at Real Madrid and plans to bring Mbappé back into the fold in the future.
