Paris Saint-Germain's Spain international midfielder spoke to media ahead of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League play-off second leg vs. Stade Brestois 29.
'I started a little bit later with the squad, because I didn't have time to do a pre-season due to the Euro. But little by little, I improved physically and now I feel very good. I always try to improve and give my all for the team.'
'We had a tough time in the Champions League. We had a lot of chances, but we weren't clinical enough. Now, we have to put that right and we have reinforced that aspect by working on it.'
'We have a lot of possession, which is what the coach wants, and I think that is what is the most stimulating for every player. I think it's positive for our team and also for me.'
'I think it's always positive to be able to win trophies. That's what we play for and try to make happen. We are a young team that is hungry to win. I find the style of play similar between the Spanish national team and here at Paris Saint-Germain. That's positive.'
'I work every day to play as much as possible. I have a very good relationship with the coach. The competition between us is something positive. We know that we have to give 100% in every game, otherwise a teammate will take our place and play better than us.'
'We know Champions League games are even more difficult. We know that tomorrow, Brest will give everything on the pitch. We will have to play from the first to the last minute with the desire to win the match. Brest are a team that have regularly caused us problems. We'll have to play with great intensity to qualify for the next round.'
'I think the club is growing little by little, all together. I am very happy at this club, in this city. That's also how my family feels. Since Luis Enrique arrived, we have been on a very positive path. Last season was a great season, and the current one has been too so far. We really want to do great things for the club, which deserves it, and for the city.'
