With less than a week remaining before the transfer market slams to a shut, Barcelona are running out of time in their bid to offload unwanted stars.
Ansu Fati is by far the biggest candidate to leave the club, as the forward has fallen behind the pecking order and is not a part of Hansi Flick’s setup.
Naturally, Fati has been linked with an exit in the ongoing January transfer window. There has been no shortage of suitors either.
Unlike in the case of Eric Garcia, the Barcelona coaching staff has no objection to sanctioning the sale of Ansu Fati either, reports MARCA.
It appears the club’s coaching staff as well as the board wants the forward to leave the club and find a new adventure elsewhere.

They want Fati to find himself a club that can offer him regular game time so that he can work on reviving his career.
That being said, Fati has no desire to leave Barcelona just yet and wants to fight for his place in the team.
The forward had the same belief last summer as well but he opted for a surprise move to Brighton on the last day of the transfer market.
Barcelona, for their part, are not expecting any last-minute surprises this time around as they believe Fati is now more determined to stay than last season.
It must be remembered that Fati earns a lucrative package at Barça, which he won’t get anywhere else if he decides to leave the club permanently.
Fati’s contract at Barcelona does not expire until 2027. And until then, he has no desire to leave the club. At least that is what he has communicated to the club, the players and his agent, Jorge Mendes.
