In the first half, the BVB women took an early lead from the penalty spot. After a foul on Annika Enderle in the area, captain Marie Grothe stepped up to convert the spot-kick to make it 1-0 in the ninth minute. Dana Marquardt increased the lead to 2-0 in the 14th minute after taking down a Paula Reimann cross in the area and slotting the ball into the back of the net. Just two minutes later, it was Grothe who scored her second after finishing first-time from Mia Böger's pass to extend the lead to 3-0. And Grothe completed her hat-trick before the break: this time Ann-Sophie Vogel played in a cross from the left towards Grothe, who found herself all alone near the penalty spot and made no mistake with the finish. In the 27th minute, Vogel again delivered a precise cross, this time to the head of Annika Enderle, who guided the ball in from the edge of the six-yard box to make it 5-0 to the Black & Yellows going into the half-time break.

The BVB women did not let up after the interval: Hedda Wahle struck their sixth goal in the 60th minute with a direct free-kick. Just one minute later, Marquardt increased the score to 7-0 with her second goal of the day. The striker scored with her head after another cross from Vogel (61). Enderle also scored her second goal of the game in the 68th minute, with double goalscorer Marquardt providing the assist. Substitute Marjana Naceva made it 9-0 in the 77th minute after the ball rebounded off the crossbar and she was on hand to finish on the follow-up. Ten minutes earlier, Naceva had received a yellow card for a foul. Coach Thomas Sulweski was completely satisfied with his team's winning performance.
