Ferran Torres continues to prove his worth as an impact player for Barcelona. The Spanish forward once again made his presence felt, this time playing a crucial role in Barcelona’s dramatic comeback against Atletico Madrid.
Coming off the bench, he delivered a stunning performance, scoring twice to help his team secure a crucial victory.
The win was a major boost for Barcelona, especially considering they had to fight back from a losing position.
“I think it was a great victory, especially because of how we came back from behind. The win was well-deserved and I’m very happy,” he said after the match.

Even though the team celebrated an important win, Ferran remained grounded. He acknowledged that there is still a long way to go in the season and that every match from here on will be crucial.
While the focus momentarily shifts to international duty, the forward emphasised that Barcelona must maintain consistency and continue securing maximum points in every game.
“We’re very happy, but we also know there are still many matches left in the season. Now it’s time to focus on the national team, but with Barcelona, we want to continue getting the three points in every game.
“We showed our character, grit, and balls, and from there we managed to win the match. I’m trying to instil a shark mentality in the youngsters,” he added.
Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski also played a pivotal role in the victory, getting his name on the scoresheet as well.
The Polish striker highlighted the significance of the result, stating that such victories can have a major impact on their aspirations in the league.

“We are very happy. It’s a very important win for us. A 4-2 victory is one of the results that can have a big impact on our future in the league.
“We have to continue playing well in the upcoming matches. I think the way we played in the second half, where we scored four goals, deserves credit,” he said.
The timing of Barcelona’s goals proved crucial, as they responded almost immediately after conceding. Lewandowski’s goal shifted the momentum and gave the team the confidence to push for more.
“As soon as we scored the first goal, we spoke among ourselves and said, “Come on guys, we have a chance, we have to score the second goal and win the game.”
Winning at the Metropolitano is never an easy task, but Barcelona showed great determination and quality to secure the three points.
“Of course, facing Atletico Madrid, especially here at their stadium, was never easy, but we played brilliantly until the end, and now we return to Barcelona with three valuable points,” he added.
