Mazatlán, Sinaloa - In a match in which the refereeing left much to be desired due to several questionable decisions, Guadalajara fought against all odds and drew 1-1 against Mazatlán, in a match corresponding to Day 15 of the Clausura 2025. After this draw, the Rebaño will quickly return to the Perla Tapatía to work on the two matches that could give them a ticket to the Final Phase of the competition.
The first half was positive for the Rebaño Sagrado, as they took an early lead with Teun Wilke's header. In addition, they managed to completely neutralize the Sinaloa team, which was unable to generate scoring chances against the Rojiblanco goal. In the second half, Chivas extended their dominance by taking control of the ball and controlling the actions, however, we did not expect what would happen in the final stretch.
It was at 83' when everything broke down with the strange sending-off of Luis Rey, who was shown the red card after clearly winning possession of the ball. In stoppage time, the referee pointed to a penalty and sent off 'Tala' Rangel, so Erick Gutiérrez had to put on his gloves and sweatshirt.
After this draw, Chivas remains in twelfth place with 17 points and must win the 2 remaining matches to aspire to the Final Phase of the Clausura 2025.
