Former Manchester City defensive duo Richard Dunne and Kolo Touré have returned to the club, taking up roles in the academy coaching set-up.

Dunne – who made 352 appearances for City between 2000 and 2009 – will be the assistant coach of the U18s, working alongside German Lead Coach Oliver Reiss, who joins from Hertha BSC.

While Touré, who took over as club captain from Dunne in the summer of 2009, will take up a similar role with the U16s.

Since retiring from playing in 2017, Touré has held coaching roles alongside Brendan Rodgers at both Celtic and Leicester City, and also had a short spell as Wigan Athletic manager in the 2022/23 season.

Elsewhere, Ben Wilkinson has stepped up as Elite Development Squad Lead Coach, with predecessor Brian Barry-Murphy leaving the club.
